For those of you traveling by car this summer, you might want to check this out.

Choice hotels (Comfort Inn and Suite, Clarion, Sleep Inn, etc.) will give guests a $50 gas card after only 3 separate stays between now and August 14, 2008. You must register for their points program, but this is still a pretty good deal! Details are available at their website.

If you’re not particular about where you stay, maybe a similar deal at Hotels.com is for you: With any 3-night hotel booking before July 6, 2008 (for travel before September 1, 2008) you will get a $50 gas card! Use code GAS50 to receive offer. Full details are at the hotels.com website.

State Tourism boards across the country are looking to lure your vacation business. Several destinations, including Traverse City (Michigan), Aspen (Colorado), Lancaster County (Pennsylvania), and certain areas of Florida are pitching $25 to $50 at guests who book stays with their hospitality businesses. Contact your local travel board or your destination of choice to see what good things they have going on!

Hasbro is offering a $10 gas card when you buy 3 participating board games. If you’re a big fan of Scrabble, Monopoly, or The Game of Life, this could be an OK deal to get in on. The form can be found at the Hasbro website, and you have until July 31, 2008 to participate. Stock up for Christmas.

Toyota owners can get gas simply by buying tires from a participating dealer. A minimum of $150 in matched tires is required for the $50 gas card, and you have until June 30, 2008 to make your purchase. See the website for a list of retailers.

A free gas card is a small consolation to keep people buying, but it’s one I don’t turn down. Look around for gas incentives where you shop, and you could score a gallon or two without even trying!
